H&H assisted in the proposal phase of IH-35 in Georgetown. Provided preliminary design and developed the Aesthetic Design Guidelines for structures in this landmark turnpike project, which encompasses approximately 50 miles of the new toll road.

The key features of this project included the design-build delivery method, multilevel interchanges, and aesthetic design. The team continued to contribute significantly to the structures design team’s aesthetic design of bridges, retaining walls, and sign structures, as well as the structural design of approximately half of the 118 bridges in Segments 1 through 4 of the project and all the Mainlane and Ramp Toll Plaza facilities.

Beginning at IH-35 in Georgetown, this toll road bypasses the Austin area to the East and ends at the intersection of Highway 183 in Mustang Ridge. Provided quality control and assurance for the design process.
