H&H is preparing the preliminary structure report for a possible fixed bridge replacement of the thirteen-span, 1150-ft-long bridge, currently a rolling lift bascule main span. The bridge carries Route 1A over the Saugus River on the border of Lynn and Revere.
Responsibilities include preparing the preliminary structure report by summarizing the existing structural conditions, developing alternatives for rehabilitation and/or replacement, investigating current maritime use of the waterway, evaluating the hydraulics and environmental site conditions, and developing construction cost estimates for each alternative.
