During the Fletcher H. “Bud” Griddis Scholarship Fund Dinner Dance on November 4th, 2023, Pam Nugent was celebrated with the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Regional Vice President’s Award posthumously.

Pam was recognized for her exceptional embodiment of the values upheld by SAME, demonstrating a positive outlook and unwavering dedication at both national and local levels. Her enthusiasm for the SAME 2023-2024 National Leader Development Program was evident, as was her passion for her membership.

Pam tragically passed away this past July in the once-in-1000-year flash flooding that occurred in New York. Pam, a firm Senior Associate and the Development & Operations Manager for Emerging Markets was based in the New York City Office. Known for her leadership and positive influence, Pam’s passing marks a significant loss for H&H and the industry.

Her leadership shone through in her roles within the New Jersey and New York Posts, where she was an active member for over 15 years. Pam contributed to the NYC Post by serving as Assistant Post Secretary and volunteering at the Dinner Dance events since 2018. Her contributions also extended over six years of helping organize the NYC/NJ scholarship golf outing fundraisers. She served on the New Jersey Post Scholarship Fund Committee, and her most recent position as the Communications Chair highlighted her dedication to service to the Post.

On November 12th, many members of the H&H family attended her memorial service held in Bear Mountain, NY.

H&H and SAME recognize and pay tribute to Pam, a remarkable leader whose influence made a significant and lasting impression in the industry. We will continue to celebrate her legacy, profound effect on the organizations she contributed to, and accomplishments.
