H&H welcomes Norman Schips, PE, as Area Manager in New York’s capital district. The longtime NYSDOT employee was most recently Acting Director of the Project Management/Alternate Project Delivery Office, delivering more than $2 billion in project value. He will focus on design-build and owner’s engineer project pursuits throughout New York as well as strategic planning as we build H&H’s presence in the Albany area.

Mr. Schips was one of the authors of NYSDOT’s design-build program and brings a wealth of knowledge learned through the development of the State’s design-build initiative. He will also add value with his strategic approach to design-build projects, from the earliest teaming stage, through procurement, and into project delivery.

In addition to offering his design-build expertise as the Albany Area Manager, Mr. Schips will also focus on increasing our presence and ability to support our clients and consulting partners in Albany and throughout Upstate New York.

Mr. Schips has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Union College and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
