H&H provided specialty engineering services associated with the demolition of an existing double-leaf bascule bridge over the St. Johns River, which will be replaced with a new high-level fixed bridge. Our team identified two critical construction risks with significant potential impacts to the public and developed engineering solutions to mitigate the risks.

H&H was also responsible for developing the new bridge vessel collision design requirements using probabilistic risk analysis to optimize the pier vessel collision design forces. H&H also developed the design for the new energy-absorbing polymeric pile fender system.
