Under this contract with The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Hardesty & Hanover was responsible for the on-going rehabilitation of the two bridge cranes at the Path Harrison Maintenance Facility. The bridge cranes are used for the maintenance of the Path transit rail cars. Hardesty & Hanover project work involved the inspection, evaluation and replacement of existing crane trolleys. Each bridge crane comprises two, 17.5-ton trolleys with 7.5-ton auxiliary hooks. The firm’s services included inspection and the preparation of structural, mechanical and electrical plans and specifications.
