H&H prepared a vision document that identified the important positive attributes and components that defined the Hamlet’s blueprint for the community’s future.  The plan contained a range of goals that included everything from improving the quality of life for residents to providing additional community services.

The scope of work for the plan included an inventory and analysis (demographics, housing, parks and recreation, land use and zoning, natural resources, historic resources, transportation, and the downtown) and the subsequent development of a vision plan with specific implementation strategies focused on quality of life, community appearance, community services and facilities, parks and recreation transportation, housing, environmental resources, the Downtown, the waterfront, and future development/redevelopment.  Work also included coordination with the Oyster Bay Hamlet Steering Committee, public workshops and meetings, stakeholder interviews, and a public opinion survey.
