H&H developed the design and provided construction support services for the Jersey Avenue Improvements, a roadway and drainage enhancement project focused on improving resiliency, safety, and long-term corridor performance. The project included replacing the existing crossing with a new single-span structure to maintain reliable access during major storm events, along with roadway reconstruction, intersection improvements, and upgraded highway lighting.
The project also included utility relocations and betterments, stormwater management upgrades, and right-of-way support services to facilitate construction and future operations. To meet environmental permitting requirements and improve water quality, the drainage system incorporated manufactured treatment devices, including hydrodynamic separators, to achieve total suspended solids removal standards. H&H’s services also included hydraulic and scour evaluations, flood resiliency analysis, and coordination of roadway, structural, drainage, and environmental elements to deliver an integrated transportation improvement project.
