H&H is providing construction engineering and inspection (CE&I) services for the Company Canal Vertical Lift Bridge Replacement in Bourg, Louisiana. This bridge serves as a critical connection over the Bayou Terrebonne. H&H supports the project through field inspections, utility coordination, documentation, and quality assurance to ensure construction meets all specifications.
The original Company Canal Vertical Lift Bridge on LA 24 was constructed in 1951 with a 65-ft.-long lift span. The newly designed vertical lift bridge, which is being built on the existing alignment, will have a 100-ft.-long lift span with an approximately 48-ft.-wide deck consisting of two 12-ft.-wide travel lanes, two 8-ft. shoulders, and a 5-ft. pedestrian walkway.
The newly replaced bridge reopened to traffic on June 30, 2025.
