Con Edison selected H&H to provide biennial inspection services for pedestrian bridges, gas duct bridges, and conveyor tunnels, including the East River, 74th Street, and 59th Street Generating Stations in Manhattan, and the North 1st Street Fuel Storage Complex in Brooklyn, NY. H&H reviewed the existing plans and previous inspection reports for each structure, generated field sketches, and performed inspections of all components of the structures.
These components included the primary and secondary steel and concrete members, decking features, substructure elements, and access facilities. All inspections were performed in accordance with the New York State Bridge Inspection Manual. The inspection reports included recommended repairs and cost estimates for various deteriorative conditions.
