PESC, an H&H company, worked closely with the contractor, design team, and the CTRMA to develop a plan for distributing aesthetic costs throughout the 183A Toll Road project. PESC also provided Load Rating Analysis of all bridge structures and construction support throughout the design-build process.

PESC led the development of the aesthetic scheme for all structural elements of the project and the production of aesthetic project standards that balanced visual appeal with constructability.

The CTRMA’s first project, this 11-mile new Toll Road facility, includes 21 bridges and miscellaneous structures (retaining walls, drainage structures, sign supports, and toll gantries). Bridge structures are multiple-span prestressed concrete beam units spanning lower roadways, creeks, and railroads.
