The American Segmental Bridge Institute (ASBI) membership named John Corven, PE, President, and Executive Board Leader for 2023-2024. John ascended into the role after serving as the Institute’s Vice President for two years. “Taking on the role of ASBI president is a privilege and an honor,” said Corven. “I look forward to an exciting two years.”

John Corven is H&H’s Director of Complex Bridges and a Lead Structural Engineer. Corven joined H&H in 2021 when Corven Engineering became a subsidiary of H&H. He has been designing complex bridges in the US and internationally for over 40 years. His extensive bridge design experience includes designing, leading construction engineering, and reviewing more than 70 significant bridge structures with a total construction value of over $1.0 billion.

ASBI is a nonprofit organization providing a forum where owners, designers, constructors, and suppliers can meet to further refine current design, construction, and construction management procedures and evolve new techniques to advance the quality and use of concrete segmental bridges.
