Harry White II, PE, Joins H&H As Chief Bridge Engineer

We’re pleased to welcome Harry White II, PE, to H&H as Chief Bridge Engineer.  Harry joins H&H after 33 years with NYSDOT, having served as a Design Engineer, Unit Squad Leader, Unit Supervisor, and Unit Manager, with specialties in design, standards, and materials.

As the Chief Bridge Engineer, Harry will work with the HQ Engineering team to oversee our bridge engineering practice in the Northeast and support project delivery and quality oversight firmwide.  This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities in support of the objectives of the firm.

Harry will work closely with the firm’s engineering management team on technical development and training for our engineering staff, technical oversight and independent quality review of our engineering services, support for business development and client relationship management, participation in technical proposal development for opportunities, and support for recruitment and group skills development. 

A New York State registered professional engineer, Harry has been a member of AASHTO TRB Subcommittee AFF40-Field Testing and Non-Destructive Evaluation of Transportation Structures, the AASHTO Technology Implementation Group (TIG), Precast Concrete International (PCI) Northeast Committee, and the AISC New England Steel Bridge Committee – Bearing Sub-Committee.  Harry also served as a peer reviewer for journals for the International Association of Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) and Structural Engineering International (SEI).
