The Rehabilitation of the East Haddam Swing Bridge has been recognized with both the Engineering Excellence Award and the Grand Award by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Connecticut (ACEC-CT), honoring projects that exemplify innovation, technical excellence, and meaningful community impact.

H&H was proud to provide comprehensive engineering services for the Connecticut Department of Transportation, leading the design of critical structural, mechanical, and electrical repairs and upgrades to ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of this historic 1913 crossing of the Connecticut River. The project reflects a thoughtful balance of innovative design, sustainable practices, and long-term infrastructure stewardship.
