Chiara Rosignoli, PE, has been named a Committee Chair for the Transportation Research Board’s (TRB) Standing Committee on Construction of Bridges and Structures (AKC40). The Committee’s scope includes all aspects of constructing new, rehabilitated, and replacement transportation structures, excluding tunnels. TRB Committee Chairs are appointed by the TRB Executive Director and provide oversight and manage the responsibilities assigned to their respective committee, section, group, or task force. #hhsquad #bridge #transportation

PROJECT OF THE MONTH_I-59/ I-20 Central Business District Elevated Interstate in downtown Birmingham, AL. Corven Engineering, an H&H company, created the final design of the precast segmental superstructure for new bridges on the heavily traveled Interstate. The new bridges replaced steel plate girder bridges built in the early 1970s and carried up to five travel lanes and shoulders in both the eastbound and westbound directions. #designedtoamaze #engineeredtolast #hhsquad

PROJECT OF THE MONTH_ NJ TRANSIT’s Raritan River Bridge. In a joint venture, H&H provided concept development and final design for the off-line replacement of the Raritan River Bridge and is currently providing construction phase services. The project includes the design of a vertical lift bridge providing a 300’ channel, half-mile approach spans, and more than 3,000 linear feet of track between the Perth Amboy and South Amboy stations in New Jersey. #designedtoamaze #engineeredtolast #hhsquad
